Yao Ming says his foot is progressing just fine. Back in April, the huge import from China underwent surgery to fix his broken foot. Recently Yao was in his hometown, Shanghai, making a special appearance. The 2007 Special Olympics are going to be held in Shanghai. When asked about his foot, Yao said, “As to my injury, I don’t’ have any major concerns. Everything’s going really smoothly. Do I look like a guy with a foot injury?”

His appears to be healing well. No one knows for certain if he will be able to play in the World Basketball Championships, which starts next month in Japan. As far as the NBA goes, he will be good to go when next season starts.
