Last night the Miami Heat put one more nail in the coffin of the Detroit Pistons. The Heat now leads the best of seven series 3-1. The 89-78 loss puts the Miami Heat and coach Pat Riley one step closer to their mission. It seems like the Detroit Pistons are more committed to talking than playing. The writing may be on the wall for this year’s Pistons.
However, they should not be counted out just yet. Game 5 is going to take place at Detroit and they have shown the ability to turn it on when the lights were about to go out. Still, coming back from a 3-1 deficit is going to be extremely tough. If they can somehow push it to a game 7, that game will be taking place in Detroit. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves yet.
Tomorrow’s game 6 is in Detroit at 8:00 pm EST. Since it’s in Detroit, the Pistons are a 6 points favorite in that game (the over / under sportsbetting line is set at 181.5). One thing is for sure, if the Pistons don’t figure out how to control Wade, they are not going to make it. Ben and Rasheed Wallace were non-factors in game 5. They simply cannot afford to have even one more bad quarter or the season for the Pistons is over.
