On Wednesday, the 2006 NBA draft is going down. Rumors are flying left and right before the big day. One player’s stock that’s rising is Adam Morrison. It sure doesn’t hurt to have your name thrown all over ESPN. Yesterday, they aired an interview with him and talked about him throughout the day. He’s expected, especially now, to go fairly high. Originally it was thought he would go in the top 10, now he might be in the top 3.

Here’s the draft order for the first ten lucky teams.

1. Toronto Raptors
2. Chicago Bulls
3. Charlotte Bobcats
4. Portland Trail Blazers
5. Atlanta Hawks
6. Minnesota Timberwolves
7. Boston Celtics
8. Houston Rockets
9. Golden State Warriors
10. Seattle Sonics

On ESPN yesterday, their mock draft had J.J. Redick of Duke slipping all the way down to 10 with Seattle. I am not so sure this happens and if it did, I am not so sure Seattle needs him—unless there’s a trade in the works. The big question is are these ten teams looking for a quick contributor or someone who will blossom in time? I look at teams like Seattle and Houston and see teams that needs a now time type of pick. A couple teams can wait, like the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors.
