The NBA Finals are almost here. Tomorrow will start the series between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat. One of these teams will be crowned NBA Champion for the first time in their franchise’s history. In fact, they will be just the 8th team to win an NBA title in the past 25 years. Both teams have players that should be able to run unchecked.

For Dallas, Dirk Nowitzki is a prime time player that the Heat just can’t match up against. For the Heat, it has to be Dwayne Wade. He is going to give the Dallas defense a real workout. The normal tendency is to say that Shaq is the main player for Dallas to worry about, but they can defend him. They have proven they possess the ability to guard a big man and Shaq has lost a step from his hay day.

The big question on everyone’s mind is “who will win?” Right now the Dallas Mavericks are a 5 point favorite for game one. The under/over is 192.5 and it has dropped from the open of 194. Dwayne Wade is expected to play, but there is a question as to how good he will be. Wade missed practice again today and might not be 100% for tomorrow’s game. Tomorrow’s game is in Dallas and it’s important for the Mavericks to jump out to an early season lead. They have proven they can win on the road. The Heat never looked that comfortable on the road.

Both teams won their conference finals 4-2 and this final round is expected to be the most exciting basketball of the season. The first two games are at Dallas, followed by three at Miami and then the last two at Dallas. If the Heat can steal one at Dallas, they have a good shot at bringing home the title to Miami.
