Hornets Move Fast

The New Orleans Hornets wasted no time to get their man. On Saturday, All Star Peja Stojakovic and the Hornets agreed on a deal. Stojakovic decided he did not want to play in Indiana anymore and went into the free agent market. The deal with the Hornets, according to agent David Bauman, is for five years and worth about $64 million.

The two sides will make the deal official on July 12th, which is when they can, under NBA rules, officially sign. Stojakovic is three time All Star and a devastating force from the outside. He will definitely improve the Hornets ability in that area and all around as well. Things are heating up in the NBA. According to Stojakovic’s agent, David Bauman, “The nature of NBA free agency is such that the faster you move, the faster you get what you want.” We will have to see how fast other teams begin to act now that solid moves are being made.
