At last look, the Mavericks were a -5.5 point favorite and the under/over was 193. The series price is very respectable at -165 for the Mavericks and +145 for the Heat. If you hate spreads, there’s always the money line. Right now, the Mavericks are -240 on the money line and the Heat are +200. Those that believe in the Heat might like the two for 1 action instead of the points.

As usual, this game has a load of prop bets. One prop bet I kind of like, because it made me laugh is whether or not Shaq will make his first free throw attempt. You have to bet no on this one and take the percentages. The no bet is listed at -145 and the yes bet is listed at +115. I might make a fun wager on this prop—that’s all props are for really. I also noticed that some sports books are offering player match ups, which can really be fun. For example, there’s a match up between Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade. Dirk is listed at -2 points and -130. Wade is listed as +2 points and +100.

Betting or not, tonight’s game one of the NBA Finals is going to be a blast. The NBA is back from the dead with exciting stars and games. Dallas has shown an amazing ability to control and adjust the temp of the game depending on their opponent. These two teams match up well and the series should be heart stopping. Miami is going to have a tough time bringing it to Dallas. The Mavericks are expected to play well at home as usual and could be too much for the Heat.
