Last night’s game 3 of the NBA Finals was very exciting. I must admit that a few minutes into the fourth quarter I dozed off. Miami was showing absolutely no ability to win. It looked like they were really laboring out there, while Dallas was effortlessly going up and down the court. That all changed in the second part of the quarter. Dallas started to miss shots and make mistakes, while the Heat entered the zone of perfection.

The Heat managed to pull off a come back attempt and win game 3 by two. The Mavericks covered, which is exactly what I figured. The Heat have finally entered the win column and the series is now set at 2-1 in the Mavericks’ favor. A huge game 4 is on Thursday in Miami and the early sportsbetting line has them as a 2 to 2.5 point favorite. The under/over is 189-190 right now.

The Heat need to be worried. While they did win the game, they had to basically sell their souls to do it. How often have you seen Shaq hit 2 free throws in a row? Had he missed one, this game is wildly different. Still, the Heat seemed to give it everything they had and it was barely good enough—thanks to Dallas easing up. Dallas just looks like they have everything under control. I doubt that losing the game will have much affect on them. They will probably come out in game 4 and play a little harder. You just have to wonder if Miami spent what they had in game 3 to get the win.
