Last night’s NBA playoff game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks was one of the best games of the 2007 NBA playoffs.
The icing on the cake, for me, was the fact that my free NBA play came in last night. The Golden State Warriors, despite losing, covered the +9, which was a nice gift.
So, today I’ll be heading back to sportsbook to cash in my tickets (my Sports Betting Baseball free MLB play won too).
How about that game last night. The Mavericks were up by 21 points early. You just knew the Warriors would rally. Unfortunately, the Warriors ran out of gas at the end. It seemed like they couldn’t figure out if they should keep playing as usual or try to run the clock out. Unfortunately, they accomplished neither.
It was painful watching Golden State hold the ball until there was 3-6 seconds left on the clock and then throw up some wild outside shot. Why? You’re up and time is running down. You don’t need three-pointers. Simply go inside and take a better shot or try to draw a foul.
I’m not impressed with the Dallas Mavericks. They didn’t win last night, Golden State lost. I loved how the Dallas “fans” all of a sudden showed up in force when the clock was down to a couple of seconds. People pulled out their “we believe” signs from under their seats. Sorry, believing isn’t about saying so when the game is in hand.
I’m glad Dallas won though. This gives us another money-making opportunity and the chance to see a great NBA playoff game. This series is the only show in town.
The books have Dallas as a “cautious” favorite (-2.5) for game 6.

Yesterday was a good game, however know one took into consideration that the Warriors were down 23 points and caught up fast and messed 12 layups imagine if they would have made those shot’s the Mavericks would have been in some real trouble…..well on Thursday the mavericks are going to lose! |

The Mavs lost the series as expected. It wasn’t even close. The Golden State Warriors had their number. They now face the Utah Jazz. Both teams won two games during the regular season. They both won their home games. This could be a series where the home teams win until the end. |
